Dear friends – friends who love God and realize how desperate is the need in our nation to equip Christian young people to have absolute confidence in the Bible,
No honest follower of Christ would dispute the fact that Jesus taught the need for His disciples to have absolute knowledge of the truth and confidence in the trustworthiness of the written Word of God.
Yet, in today’s confused and highly secularized society, Christian parents are understandably struggling to know how to adequately equip their young children to reinforce their total trust in the Bible. One Christian widowed-mother of six recently wrote to me:
“Dear Dennis, Although my own daughter has been raised with a lot of Creation Science resources over the years, when she recently read an evolutionary-based, science workbook, she wrestled with doubts– “Mom, this sounds true. How do we know they are not true and what I have heard from Creation science is true?” I prayed and gave her the best answers I could, by God’s grace. But my heart was sobered to realize that somehow she needs more than just the videos and books I have given her. She needs someone to help her navigate the questions that come up when she brushes up against the opposition’s propaganda and evolutionist’s teachings. May the Lord continue to guide and provide in every way for the advancement of His Kingdom. May He bless you and strengthen you for the work and vision He is calling you to.”
The Lord uses this to motivate me to persist in carrying on this mission. At age 72, despite the health challenges since my heart attack that might try to slow me down, and the various difficulties that we’ve struggled with, like so many friends around us have endured, will you join me in the ‘fight’ and persist to expand our influence for Christ’s kingdom, using our God-given gifts?
A few days ago, after having their editorial review committee review my new book, “7 Persuasive Keys to Discovering Confidence in Genesis,” …the Christian Faith Publishing company in Pennsylvania called to tell me they want to market and distribute it world-wide by Ebook and ‘on-demand’ publishing through all the outlets like Barnes & Noble, Amazon Kindle and Apple iBooks as well as Christian outlets like Spring Arbor. We are very excited at the fairness of the contract terms they are offering, giving full permissions control to their authors.

To proceed, we need to find friends whom God gives the vision and ability to help us launch the project with a modest $3,600 to pay the upfront costs of editing, cover design, web page production, and launching a marketing campaign including media interview arrangements nationwide. Besides this, we also need to fund a private first edition printing of the first 3,000 copies that we can sell in bulk quantities for giving to our ministry friends before it is publicly released world-wide to begin the ‘snow-ball’ effect of increasing broad distribution to reach every Christian family who shares our concerns for the next generation.

If you want a handy handbook for conveying Christ and clarifying Creation, this is the tool. Dennis Petersen lays out a logical series of clear and concise discussion topics for carrying on a conversation with open-minded non-Christians and evolution accepters. Throughout the book you will find quote keepers and humorous tidbits that will bring a smile to your lips and heart.
Mr. Petersen adheres to the excellent method of witnessing (telling others about the Gospel) that is based upon asking questions. He does the same when confronting anyone who is confused about Creation. It would be a good idea for the reader to write down the questions and practice asking them. However, heed the advice of Mr. Petersen and do not waste time trying to convince someone who is headstrong or hard-hearted.
The introduction provides an amazing fact about the Bible. In “Why You Should Read This Book, Do You Really Want to Know?”, Mr. Petersen points out that God wants us to challenge His Word by asking questions.
Each chapter begins with a question that leads to a clear conclusion. For the chapters, I will point out things that came to my mind or struck me as interesting points. I am leaving out a lot!
Chapter 1 THE BIBLE-WHAT DOES THE WORD OF GOD DO IN MEN’S HEARTS?
Evolution is called a “foolish deception”.Chapter 2 LOGIC-CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT LOGIC ACTUALLY DOES MORE THAN JUST SUPPORT THE TRUTH OF CREATION?
Miracles are believed by both creationists and evolutionists.Chapter 3 PURPOSE-SO…WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE IS THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE FOR NATURE?

This chapter has a wealth of witnessing advice.There are three appendixes that are full of fine facts. “20 Secrets Most College Professors Don’t Know About When It All Began” is alone worth buying the book.
Two quotes from the book that are profound follow.
“Empty (vain) imaginations equals ridiculous ‘theories’ that are obvious to anyone who hasn’t been ‘conditioned’ or ‘programmed’ by years of secular education in atheistic naturalism.”
Referring to people that are in “bondage to sin and destructive lifestyles”: “Why do they lack knowledge?…What should we expect when we allow our children to be taught about the wonders of God’s creation (biology, geology, astronomy, etc) by those who scorn the Bible and blaspheme God.” Those points must be acted upon by pastors and parishioners. Mr. Petersen’s book provides the power to proceed.
